Two cyclists have been injured in a crash which occurred in north Dublin on Monday morning. One of the cyclists is more seriously injured and was undergoing treatment in hospital.
Gardaí investigating the crash - which is unusual given two cyclists were injured - have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time, especially eyewitnesses or those recording video footage at the time, to come forward.
It is understood the two cyclists were the only two people involved in the crash, which does not appear to have involved any other road users
"Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving two cyclists, which occurred at Botanic Road, Glasnevin, Dublin this morning, Monday 18th September 2023 at approximately 10am," Garda Headquarters said in a statement.
