Triathlon Ireland is looking for new emerging talent that it can identify for development in the years ahead. The national governing body is hold four talent ID days - one in each of the four provinces - next month.
They are aimed at athletes in two aged groups; those aged 14 to 15 yeas and also aged 16 to 19 years. They will compete in a trial event, with their times for swimming and running scoring points and the overall tally for each athlete being used to grade each participant and ultimately identity talent.
Those in the 14-15 years ago group will complete a 200m swim time-trial and a 1500m run time-trial. Athletes aged between 16-19 years will complete a 400m swim time-trial and a 3000m run time-trial.

Athletes who achieve 150 points will be invited onto the national squad and those who achieve 130-149 points will be invited onto the horizon squad.
