Netflix has announced its new documentary on Mark Cavendish's career will be available to watch from August 2nd, by which time the Manx missile will have completed his final Tour de France in search of the outright all-time stage winners' record.
"On the eve of his last ever Tour de France, we’re excited to announce new documentary Mark Cavendish: Never Enough," Netflix said when today releasing the first glimpse of the new film, below.
"The film charts the rise, fall and resurrection of a genuine sporting great as he attempts to prove the doubters wrong and make cycling history."
Cavendish stormed back to form, after years in the wilderness, at the 2021 Tour de France, winning four stages and the green jersey. That brought his stage win tally in the French Grand Tour to 34, equal with the great Eddy Merckx.
This year Cavendish (38) signed with Astana for one last season, specifically a final appearance in the Tour where he will try to take one more victory and surpass Merckx as the rider with the most Tour wins in the history of the race.
He has already won a stage on the Giro this year, taking the final sprint into Rome on the last day of the race last month.
