Tour of North Easter stage race becomes virtual event on Zwift

With a split stage to open on Saturday, the virtual Tour of the North on Zwift should be a challenging test for riders over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend

The Tour of the North International stage race may have fallen victim to the Covid-19 pandemic, but a Zwift version of the race will still be run.

Just like the traditional road event, the virtual Tour of the North will take place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and will feature four stages over three days

The event is being promoted by Team Ulster Zwifters and gets underway on Easter Saturday, April 3rd, with two stages; a 29km greater London flat race and an 8km TT in Bologna.

The following day sees the riders tackle four laps of the Watopia hilly route, for a stage distance of 37km, and on Easter Sunday the race concludes with a 46.8km race at Quatch Quest.
