
Tour de France 2017 final prize money list
The Tour de France is over for another year. Reputations have been made a few have been shredded. But who is going home with most prize money in their team buses?
Team Sky comes out as the top earner of any team in the race, with Chris Froome's €500,000 first prize raising the British team to the top of money list.
They won a whopping €716,590, which was almost three times the next highest earning team.
Cannondale-Drapac was next on the list, taking €243,250. Of that €200,000 was thanks to Rigoberto Uran's 2nd place overall.
And rounding out the high earner podium is Team Sunweb. They took four stage wins; two for Warren Barguil and two with Michael Matthews.
The team also won the climbers and points classification with the same two riders.
Romain Bardet was 3rd overall and his AG2R-La Mondiale was the fourth on the Tour de France 2017 final prize money list.
They bagged €173,040; Bardet's overall placing and his stage win accounting for €111,000 of the team's total.
Dan Martin's QuickStep was next in the final prize money list. It takes home €115,440. Dan Martin's 6th on GC accounts for €23,000 of that with Marcel Kittel's five stage wins adding another €55,000.
The team that won the least amount of money was Cofidis. It earned €19,230, meaning Team Sky earned 37 times the amount the lowest earning team won.
