Top Irish triathlete has bikes worth €10,000 stolen from home

One of Ireland’s top triathletes returned home after a few nights away to discover a break-in and two bikes gone. Eimear Mullan is now urging cyclists to keep an eye out.

 

Top Irish triathlete Eimear Mullan is looking for help from the cycling community it trying to trace two bikes that were stolen during a break-in at her Co Wicklow home.

Mullan estimates the bikes, with wheels and computers, are valued at up to €10,000.

She was staying in a friend’s house and when she returned to her own home in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, this morning she discovered a break-in.

And whoever robbed her took a TT bike and a road bike.

She told stickybottle she was away looking after a friend’s dog for two nights, meaning the bikes were either stolen last night or the previous night.

One the stolen bikes is a BMC TM01 red and black TT bike, with Shimano C50 Dura Ace wheels Shimano Dura Ace Di2, SRM 170 cranks, Pro Missile handlebars and an ISM TT saddle.

The other is a blue AC1 SL road bike - white with black in colour - with Mavic wheels, Stages Dura Ace left crank, White Deda steam and white Cobb saddle. The bike has one black and one white pedal.
