Tom Pidcock has been officially unveiled as an Ineos Grenadiers rider after his time with Trinity Racing ended after yesterday's World Cyclocross Championships in Belgium.

The young British rider has been the start of Trinity over the past couple of seasons; the team founded and run by Andrew McQuaid, who is also Pidcock's agent.

He initially planned to begin his time as a WorldTour rider with Ineos Grenadiers in March but decided to bring that move forward to today, February 1st, just one day after finishing 4th in the elite men's race at the Worlds.

Pidcock has also said he hopes to ride a Grand Tour in his first season this year with Ineos Grenadiers.

"There's an idea that me and my coaches have come
to. Beyond the first races, it’s Strade Bianche, but hopefully I’ll be doing a
big mountain bike block in June, and then Olympics. And then I want to ride the
Vuelta and then the road Worlds.

"I’d like to do a Grand Tour. I’m not going to go in
as a leader but I can go in and help the team. I’m happy to do that. There’s no
pressure and it’s almost easier to perform when you’re not under pressure. I
quite like working for others sometimes."
