These videos capture Froome's Tour ending; showing his spills and then abandoning

Chris Froome climbs of his bike and into Team Sky's car at the moment of abandoning the Tour de France today before the action had even reached the pavé.

Here's a couple of videos for us from what was simply a day of disaster for defending champion Chris Froome and a stage of general mayhem for the rest of the field on the Tour de France.

Having crashed yesterday and begun today's stage 5, featuring the cobbles from Paris-Roubaix, wearing a brace on his wrist, Froome crashed again twice before the race even reached the pavé sections.

And on the second occasion it was clear he could not continue, a development that will give rise to speculation that his wrist injury from yesterday was much worse than his Team Sky claimed.
