With Irish cycling now well into the second half of the season, the next big fixture on the calendar comes this weekend in the shape of the Tour of Omagh.
Getting underway tomorrow evening, Friday; the first stage takes the riders on a 64km loop starting in Omagh and going to Ballygawley before making its way back to the host town.
There is just one categorised climb on the route; a cat 3 crested 42km into the stage.
The following day, Saturday, is a split stage with a pan flat 4.1km TT in Omagh followed by a 68km road stage in the afternoon.

The race concludes with a 71km road race on Sunday and with some undulating terrain between 15km and 10km to go markers there will be nowhere to hide after a tough weekend of racing.
