Having been a fixture on the domestic road racing and
cyclocross scene for five seasons already, the Strata 3-VeloRevolution team has
bolstered its roster for the 2020 campaign.
Team principal Aidan Crowley has been busy in the
off-season, signing seven new A1 male riders including Daire Feeley and Mark
Dowling.
Feeley had a very strong season last year with the EvoPro
Racing team in Europe; finishing races and performing well through the whole
campaign.
Having only just turned 23-years-old at the end of last
year, Feeley’s progress at home this year should be very interesting to watch.
Dowling’s inclusion in the team is also a boost for Crowley’s outfit; the top A1 rider having won most of the biggest races in the country down the years.

Also joining Strata 3-VeloRevolution is Aaron Kearney,
who now has a season with EvoPro Racing under his belt.
Paul Forristal, formerly of Orwell Wheelers, also joins
up and has emerged as one of the strongest riders in Ireland in recent years; the
Orwell Two Day and Coombes Connor among several big wins on his palmares
already.
The team is made stronger by another new trio in the
shape of Stephen Murphy, formerly of Black Rose Racing, as well as Jack Caldwell
who was with DHL-FRS last season.
Andy Whales, an English elite rider now working for the IRFU and living in Dublin, has also moved to the team after riding some races in Ireland towards the end of last season.

The seven new riders are joining what was an already
successful group that includes Richard Maes, James Davenport, Mark Quigley, Mick
Fitzgerald, Paul Norton, Patrick Clifford and Crowley himself.
Crowley says the team is aiming to win Kerry Group Rás
Mumhan and the Tour of Ulster.
He also wants the team to be competitive at Rás Tailteann
and hopefully win a stage and the Irish team prize there.
Another goal for the team is at the National Road Championships where it will be targeting the team prize again.

"Having Mark Dowling back and signing the likes of
Daire Feeley; we really mean business in 2020,” said Crowley.
“These two guys along with the other five new riders will
work with our existing team who were on the podium or top six right through the
season in 2019.
“We’ll work together as a good group to achieve our
Strata3-VeloRevolution team goals for 2020.”
The team is now moving into its sixth year and is backed
again by Crowley’s cycling and triathlon premium clothing company,
VeloRevolution, along with Strata 3, the leading independent digital agency.
It has also put in place a very tidy group of co-sponsors
in the shape of ACTAVO, An Rothar Midleton, Zero One Zero(010), Specialized
Ireland, Caremark Dublin and Manuka Health.
- Strata 3-VeloRevolution also has a women's team, which we will report on at a later date. If any other teams and clubs have signed up new riders, secured new sponsors or changed their kit for 2020, please get in touch and we can do a news story on your plans.
