A man many, many talents: In yellow at the Tour of Utah, now Joe Dombrowski has lifted the lid on who the pros get their gear so clean every single time.
Here's a photo that we think will appeal to your inner ignoramous; just as it did for us here on stickybottle!
A veteran of the World Tour at just 24-years-old, US rider Joe Dombrowski is a very talented man on a bike.
And now the up-and-coming American has lifted the lid on his personal hygiene habits; specifically, how he washes his team-issue shoes and helmet.
As revealed in the shot below, posted on his Instagram account , former Team Sky man Dombrowski sticks them in the dishwasher and lets the appliance of science and a detergent tablet do the rest.
Being issued with countless team kits through the season by his current employer Cannondale-Garmin perhaps means he is less emotionally attached to each item than amateur riders.
It’s doubtful whether too many of us who fork out our own cash to keep ourselves in kit would try this with shoes and helmet worth many hundreds of Euro.
Then again, the pros are always so well turned turn out that maybe it’s worth following their lead?
If you are going to try this at home, you might trial it on an old pair of training shoes and helmet that’s gathering dust in the garage before sticking your best kit into the machine.
