Stickybottle's 10 most read stories of 2014 and our user numbers for the year

One of the more unusual moments of the year features in our top 10 most read stories, but is far from the top; David McCarthy's selfie with Marcel Kittel caused a stir at the Giro d'Italia in Dublin in May. McCarthy has since secured a place on the UK-based Continental team Condor-JLT.

The past year was our third in existence and we've been delighted with progress to date.

We've tried our best to cover as much ground as possible to bring you engaging content.

Thankfully, readers are responding and we're very grateful to each of you for tuning in this year.

Our biggest monthly total of unique users in 2014 was 125,000.

Unique user growth was between 80 and 140 per cent in almost every month of 2014 when compared with the corresponding month in 2013.

We are hopeful of attracting in or around 150,000 unique users per month in 2015 - perhaps more - with well over one million page impressions per month.

Hopefully you can continue to support us in 2015 when we will expand stickybottle to bring you more quality content than ever.
