
Sport Ireland has released the criteria for athletes across all sports who want to be carded, or funded, next year.
The national sports funding body has detailed for every sport the results required by all athletes if they want to qualify for funding.

That includes a breakdown for the cycling codes that feature in the Olympic Games; road racing, the TT discipline, track, XC MTB and BMX.
While funding is not available for road race riders who are part of a WorldTour team, those who have significant results in TTs and who are part of WorldTour teams are eligible under the TT category.

Road Racing: International Carding

- Medalist in the World Championships
- Medalist in the Olympic Games
- 1-3 Overall in any European World Tour event or Major
- Tours (Giro Femine or La Route de France for women)
