Spectator runs out among riders on Kwaremont at Tour of Flanders | Video

This spectator took a crazy risk running out with an oversized flag on the Oude Kwaremont

Some of the riders at the Tour of Flanders were given a late scare with a spectator with an oversized Belgian flag ran out among them on the
Oude Kwaremont.

The spectator waited until the lead riders has passed and then ran out among some of those who chasing groups on the penultimate climb of the day.

Tiesj Benoot (Jumbo Visma) was chasing Stefan Küng (Groupama-FDJ) and Dylan Teuns (Bahrain-Victorious) - all still in contention for the podium - when the spectator ran out in the road just ahead of Benoot.

It looked for a moment like he may trip on the flag or be nudged by the neutral service car behind him, but thankfully he stepped into the side of the road towards the crowd barriers and the car, and Benoot, were able to get past.
