Sorrento CC is holding its Annual Open 10 Mile TT in honour of recently deceased commissaire and club official Danny O’Shea.

The TT, one of very few open tests on the domestic calendar, is now in its eight year but has been renamed and relaunched as the Danny O’Shea Perpetual Trophy.

The club wants to honour the memory of its founding member and have an event named after him as a tribute to the decades of loyal service Danny gave to both the club and the Irish cycling scene generally.
