Six races chosen to form Cycling Ireland National Road Series 2020

The National Road Series takes in six rounds around the country this year, with elite and women set to battle it out for the big prizes

Six races have been chosen to form the Cycling Ireland's National Road Series in the season ahead.

The series, for elite men and women, has been reduced by one round since last year, with one event on in March, April, June and July and two in August.

A decision by Cycling Ireland to award double points for the final round of the series has been seen as controversial as it can greatly screw the result of the season-long series.

However, the national governing body has decided to
retain the double points for the final round in 2020.
