Sean Kelly is back on his feet and on the road to
recovery after suffering a nasty crash that saw him break several bones.

The former world No 1 and 1988 Vuelta winner was riding on his mountain bike, keeping fit during the winter period, when he crashed a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately he came off the worse for wear as he suffered a broken collarbone and also fractured several ribs.

News of Kelly’s crash had spread within the cycling
community in recent weeks and today he took to social media confirming he was
very much on the mend.

“Out for a walk today,” he said. “I’ll
be doing more walking than biking for the next few weeks as I had a crash on
the mountain bike.
