Making the calculation: This is what happened when Sean Kelly (literally) bumped into fellow legend Phil Anderson at the Tour of Flanders sportive today, Saturday, in Belgium.
They enjoyed many battles during their racing careers; from the Classics to the Tour de France, the Tour of Britain and of course the Nissan Classic.
And when Irish legend bumped into Australia's finest Phil Anderson at the Tour of Flanders sportive today in Belgium it was like old times.
This brilliant photo was shared by Anderson on Facebook and shows Kelly giving him the renowned Carrick-on-Suir nudge just to let him know he was there.
It's good to see some things don't change and also that the greats can have this craic after all these years.
Anderson posted the following message with the photo:
"A surprise at today's Tour of Flanders Cyclo-sportif was riding 130kms (with) Sean Kelly," he wrote.
"Great to catch up with one of my sparring partners from the 80s into the 90s. What hasn't changed is Sean's habit of coming underneath. Hah! A true champ of my era."
