Ireland has sent a very strong team to the European championships in France this week with 19 riders in action over five days.
For the first time ever there are elite events for both men and women and that gives Ireland an even greater chance of producing a top result as Dan Martin and Nicolas Roche can go well on the road while Ryan Mullen can also go well against the clock.
National women's elite time-trial champion Anna Turvey also gets a chance to shine and she is the sole competitor for Ireland in the women's time-trial.
The action gets underway on Wednesday morning with the junior men and women's time trials while the U23 men are also in action the same day.
