Sam Bennett's home trainer set-up is a lot more glamorous than it used to be; take a look at these now and then shots.
Sam Bennett’s stock has very much been on the rise in recent years; the Carrick-on-Suir man making the transition from promising sprinter to one of the world’s fastest men.
He is now a WorldTour rider with some great wins under his belt. And on his day he’s capable of beating anyone.
The Bora-hansgrohe fastman has been living in Monaco of late and today he shared the above photo of his home training set up.
He’s perched on the balcony of his apartment getting some efforts in ahead of Paris-Nice while looking down at Monaco and out into the Med.
It’s a far cry for his set-up of a few short years ago when he shared another photo of himself on the home trainer.
On that occasion – less than 2½ years ago - he was outside the An Post-Chainreaction house in Belgium doing some hard efforts.
He had stuck a piece of cardboard over him to shield him from the strength of the sun.
It’s good to see the hard work of the young guns paying off!

He was with the NetApp-Endura ProContinental team at the time but was still using his former team’s house at times. Beside him is fellow Irish man Jack Wilson, who was a member of the An Post-Chainreaction team at the time.
