Sam Bennett was shattered after taking 2nd place on an epic stage 17 at La Vuelta today.
The Bora-hansgrohe rider was on his own in a huge breakaway that began with about 40 riders but was whittled down during a day when there was no respite.
Deceuninck-QuickStep placed seven of its eight riders in the move and at the finish they played it cleverly; effectively working over Bennett who finished 2nd to Philippe Gilbert.
The 219.6km stage from Aranda de Duero to Guadalajara was run off in 4hrs 20mins; that's 50.63km per hour.
But Bennett has also shared his detailed peak speed data, below, and it makes for eye-watering reading.
His two-second peak was 100km per hour, his one-minute was 91.1kmph, his 20-minute peak was 65.5kmph and his 60-minute peak was 54.8km per hour.
Ah here.....
