If anyone was in any doubt about how much it meant to Sam Bennett to win a stage on the Tour de France, they questions were answered during his post-stage interview.
The 29-year-old Irishman, who couldn't get a start in the race last season and in 2018, was in tears as the enormity of what he had achieved hit him live on air while being interviewed on TV.
Bennett, who has also reclaimed the green jersey, knew he'd won the stage after he'd crossed the line, though doubt seemed to set in a little as it was so close on the line between him and Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal).
But when confirmation came over his team radio system that he had definitely one, the Irish cyclist and his Deceuninck-QuickStep celebrated as they gathered after the finish line.
There was no time for Bennett to draw breath as he was put on air seconds later and while explaining what the win meant to him he was overwhelmed and broke down.
It was fantastic moment to see for a prolific athlete who has worked hard for over a decade to get to this stage in his career; a big win on the Tour de France.
