Sam Bennett (Bora-hansgrohe) has ended his 2019 just inside the top 30 in the UCI's individual world rankings.
The Carrick-on-Suir man is ranked 28th, with a lot of the big name classics and general classification men dominating at the top of the standings.
Bennett scored 12 wins this year; all of them coming in stage races apart from his victory at the national road race championships in Derry City in July.
He scored 1,480.93 points, with Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma) at the top of the rankings on 4.635.28.
The Vuelta winner, who had a fantastic season, was more than 1,000 points clear of the next best rider; the French hero of the Tour de France Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-QuickStep).
Alaphilippe scored 3,569.95 points and was just ahead of Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) on 3,472.5 points.
Bennett was one of 32 Irish cyclists to score ranking points this year, with Irish cyclists both riding as pros and as domestic amateurs on the list.

After Sam Bennett in 28th place comes Dan Martin (UAE Team Emirates) on n 840 points in 89th.
He was followed by Eddie Dunbar (Team Ineos) in 141st on 454.83 points and Nicolas Roche (Team Sunweb) in 224th on 334.81 points.
The highest ranked Irish amateur rider was Craig McAuley of Caldwell Cycles Omagh.
He was in 1,768th in the rankings on 20 points which he secured for 3rd in the national TT championships.
Sam Bennett’s biggest points score for a
result was 250 points for his 2nd place at Prudential
RideLondon-Surrey Classic in August.
For both of his Vuelta stage wins he
scored 100 points apiece and he scored 60 points for each of his Paris-Nice
stage wins and his win at Criterium du Dauphine.
