Sam Bennett back in Bora-hansgrohe kit, Ryan Mullen's new Irish champ's jersey

Sam Bennett is back in Bora-hansgrohe kit after two years away from the German team he has spent almost all of his career with

Sam Bennett has been unveiled in the new Bora-hansgrohe kit for 2022 after two seasons away from the team while Ryan Mullen's new Irish champion's look has also been revealed.

Both Irish riders ended their contracts with their old teams - Bennett with Deceuninck-QuickStep and Mullen with Trek-Segafredo - at the stroke of midnight last night. At the same time they began their new two-year deals with German WorldTour team Bora-hansgrohe.

Bennett comes into the team as lead sprinted after two years with Deceuninck-QuickStep and having previously raced with Bora-hansgrohe for six years to the end of 2019.

Mullen, who reclaimed the Irish elite men's road and TT crowns in Co Wicklow last October, is completely new to Bora-hansgrohe and has spent the last four years with Trek-Segafredo; the 27-year-old having joined the pro peloton straight out of the junior ranks meaning he is now going into his 10th year at pro level.

Mullen comes into the team as part of the lead-out train for Bennett, Bora-hansgrohe lead sprinter for this year. Long-term team of Bennett's, Kiwi Shane Archbald, and Dutch rider Danny van Poppel, have also joined the team as part of the Bennett lead-out train.
