Ryan shares X-ray of Worlds collarbone break; it’s nasty

You wouldn’t need to be a doctor to diagnose Irish track cyclist Caroline Ryan’s injury in the X-ray below.

The Kildare woman's hopes of repeating her World Championships bronze medal performance from Melbourne in 2012 were ended last weekend when she crashed hard and broke her collar bone in the latter stages of the points race at the Worlds in London.

Looking well and sitting comfortably in the belly of the bunch, she was involved in a collision with Hong Kong's Yao Pang and came down extremely hard.

Ryan required medical attention after the crash and later that night she took to Twitter to confirm she had broken her collarbone and had received stitches, much to the despair of her many followers.

And since then, she has posted this X-ray of her collarbone.
