[wpbrad id=127]
Here’s an at a glance look at the route for the new Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif. The inaugural event takes place next month.
Stickybottle published a piece on the sportif – which will be held twice each year – in the last few days which you can access by following this link.
We crammed as much information as possible into it. But such has been the popularity of the piece we’ve decided to outline the route in more detail.
The above map is small. But if you zone in on those stages that interest you most you’ll get all the information need.
That includes the exact route and the profile of the selected stages, carried along the bottom of the map.
And if you want a rough guide to where each stage is going, you’ll get the main places visited each day in the stages list below.
In a nutshell, you can ride as many stages as you want; from one to all 17.
Each day of cycling ranges from 86km to 162km in length. The 17 stages combined totals 2,058km and run from September 13th to 29th.
The organisers RideWild.ie will provide everything you’ll need in the price of your entry fee.
That includes all services from mechanical back-up to laundry for your kit and the all-important accommodation along the route.
Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif is new and it will be held twice each year; in spring and autumn.
It’s being run with the support of Fáilte Ireland which hopes Irish cyclists and international visitors will flocked to it.
