Roman Kreuziger to join Nicolas Roche in Meath on Saturday week; free gilet on entry

Nicolas Roche with Roman Kreuziger during the Tour de France in June; both will take to the roads and meet fans at the Nicolas Roche Classic Sportive in Co Meath on Saturday week, October 19th.

Having had the best season of his career by far with a stage win and 5th overall at the Vuelta a Espana, Nicolas Roche will be back on Irish roads in a little over a week and this time he’s bringing Saxo-Tinkoff team mate Roman Kreuziger with him.

The Czech rider is no slouch himself, having won the Amstel Gold classic this year and finish 5th in the Tour de France.

The presence of both top pros on Irish roads for the Nicolas Roche Classic Sportive is proving a great draw, with a large crowd having already registered for the event in Co Meath on Saturday week, October 19th.

The organisers are offering free gilets to many of those who sign on in advance and we're told there are still around 100 of those left. So if you're quick you'll get one.

The charity event was first run last year, when it was a great success. And with Roche having had such a high profile Vuelta - holding all the classification leader's jerseys there - he’s set to be an even bigger draw this year.
