Roglic wins at Paris Nice as "dizzy" Geoghegan Hart crashes out | Video

Primoz Roglic went for the time bonuses at the very late sprint point and then continued with an attack off the front for the final 3km, which was uphill. He claimed the stage and yellow jersey

Just days after losing Richie Porte from its Paris-Nice line-up due to a crash, Ineos Grenadiers is now without Giro champion Tao Geoghegan Hart after he also crashed on stage 4 today.

The Londoner, who was one of the favourites for the general classification win, crashed hard in the last hour of racing today and though he got back on his bike he later abandoned.

Geoghegan Hart crashed on the descent of Mont Brouilly when the bike seemed to slide out from under him, with David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ) also coming down.

While Gaudu was able to get back into the group and up to the front of the action, Geoghegan Hart had hit his head and face, while also suffering a knee injury. His team said "he felt a bit dizzy" and so the decision was made for him to stop.

Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma) took the stage victory and claimed the yellow jersey after going for the bonus time at the last intermediate sprint and then riding up what remained of the climb to win by 12 seconds from a chasing group.

Defending champion Maximilian Schachmann (Bora-hansgrohe) led in the chasing group from Guillaume Martin (Cofidis), Tiesj Benoot (Team DSM), Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana-Premier Tech) and Lucas Hamilton (Team BikeExchange).
