Nicolas Roche’s book ‘Inside the Peloton’ has reached number three in the Irish bestsellers list.

The Tour of Beijing stage winner’s media appearances and book signings last week have resulted in a spike in sales, pushing the book into third place in the new bestsellers list released this morning, Saturday.

‘Inside the Peloton’, which was written by Roche with cycling journalist Gerard Cromwell is rubbing shoulders with some heavyweights at the top of charts.

Well known TV producer and journalist David Malone is at the top of the charts with his crime book ‘The Boy in the Attack’.

Today FM broadcaster and Sunday Times columnist Matt Cooper is second with ‘How Ireland Really Went Bust’.

Then in fifth place is Irish Times financial journalist Simon Carswell with ‘Anglo Republic’.

A mark of the quality of the field is that Carswell has just won Ireland’s ‘Journalist of the Year’ award for his reporting of the financial crisis gripping the country.

So massive congratulations to Roche and Cromwell for getting themselves into the bestsellers, particularly at that time of year when all the heavy hitting books and authors are being launched by their publishers for the lucrative Christmas books market.
