The new blue, wider bands and larger logos add to a more striking kit for Team Sky and the new Pinarello DOGMA F8 has been modified to match.
Philip Deignan’s and Nicolas Roche’s Team Sky have revealed the team kit and new bike its riders will be wearing next year.
The Sky kit has been more of the more conservative in the pro peloton in recent years and has not changed very much since the team’s launch six years ago.
And while the same is true for the 2016 kit, it is more attractive that the designs that have gone before.
The team has gone for a new shade of blue, and perhaps the biggest change is the bigger bands of white and blue on the jersey which have the effect of brightening it up despite blue remaining the main colour.
The Team Sky logo is also blasted across the kit. All present are the logos for Pinarello, 21st Century Fox and Rapha.
The 2016 kit is fourth, and final, set of kit designed by the team’s clothing partner Rapha.
The team has also released photos of the 2016 version of its Pinarello DOGMA F8; the bike that has become so synonymous with the team.
The new shade of blue is splashed across the forks, seat post and seat stays.
"Three Tour de France victories in six years and a huge number of wins and podiums - these results alone would be enough to be proud of this team,” said Pinarello president Fausto Pinarello.
“But the union between Pinarello and Team Sky is much more. We are two innovation-oriented companies and we aim to achieve many more victories together."

Very sweet...

Team Sky believes the new blue stands out better against the black.
