Professional cyclist arrested by police for alleged domestic violence attack

A professional cyclist has been arrested amid allegations he was the perpetrator of domestic abuse in Andorra

A professional cyclist has been arrested in Andorra after an alleged domestic violence attack there this week.

The rider has not been named and the cycling discipline he competes in has also not been stated. Local media said was in his 20s and that he appeared before the courts in Andorra as part of the police investigation.

Reports in the local media state the man was arrested for alleged domestic abuse yesterday afternoon and appeared before the court this morning, Thursday.

He was detained on Wednesday afternoon in a town in the north west of the country on allegations that he had committed a “crime against physical and moral integrity in the home.”

The man, who lives in Andorra and has been resident there for some time, has not been named in any reports related to his arrest or his court appearance.

It is alleged the offence being claimed was committed at
the home he shares with his wife.
