Here’s a couple of photos following from An Post-Sean Kelly rider Sean Downey’s bad luck yesterday, Saturday. They show the damage to his handlebars following his crash in the Volta Limburg Classic (1.1) in Holland.
Downey came down in a group spill that also took out team mate Ronan McLaughlin around 60km into the race. While McLaughlin seems to have escaped with the usual cuts and bruises, Downey has been left with a hairline fracture to his elbow. The few photos here certainly suggest a fairly strong impact.
