The Big Daddy: Hoy looks good in the new kit

The kit to be worn by the British team at the London Olympics has been unveiled in the UK today, Thursday. Designed by Stella McCartney, the new look has already been given a pretty frosty reception by the UK media.

The traditional Union Jack ‘red, white and blue’ design has given way somewhat to a new turquoise, white a blue look. The Union Jack is reflected only in segments in the new kit, and is only carried in full on the off-the-bike tracksuits that will be worn by the cyclists.

Have a look at these photos and see what you think. We didn’t like the new gear at first, but it grows on you. Though the judo-style tracksuit top and belt worn here by Victoria Pendleton is a big mistake in our book.
