Photo reveals world class Monaco group Sam Bennett now training with

Sam Bennett is now living on the Cote d’Azur and he's training with some of the biggest names in world cycling judging by the photo below.

Ireland's Sam Bennett is barely one month into his new life in the south of France but the Carrick man clearly hasn’t taken very long to make some new friends.

The Bora-Argon 18 rider recently joined the legion of top riders who base themselves along the Cote d’Azur because of its favourable temperatures and nearby climbing.

And he’s been mixing with some of the world’s best on the quiet roads around around Nice and Monaco, as this picture taken by Simon Gerrans, with a Matt Goss photobomb, demonstrates.

Yesterday he hooked up with former 2012 Milan San Remo and 2014 Liege-Bastogne-Liege winner Gerrans (Orica GreenEdge), Calvin Watson (Trek Factory racing) and 2011 Milan San Remo winner Goss (MTN-Quebeka) for some training prior to heading to Belgium for the traditional season-opening semi classics this weekend.

It's a world away from his training arrangements of 12 months ago.

Now based in Monaco, the talented sprinter who took four professional wins in 2014, won’t be too far from another two established Irish professionals Nicolas Roche and Philip Deignan who are both riding for Team Sky this year.

The area is popular with cyclists, amateur and professional, as it offers great access to the biggest races in mainland Europe, has excellent training roads, and the weather is usually very warm.
