Paul Kimmage is dipping his toe into the Spanish cycling holiday market and will accompany Irish cyclists who want to join him.
For those who have admired Paul Kimmage’s work down the years and would like to spend a week cycling in sun with him comes good news.
The former professional rider turned journalist and author will lead a week-long cycling holiday in Spain next year.
The trip will be based in the Andalusian village of Velez de Benaudalla on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Kimmage will go on bike rides with the group each day. And there is also a strong social dimension with the holiday.
Each evening group outings will take place, with Kimmage joining the cyclists for evening meals and questions and answers sessions.

Given his compelling story on and off the bike, Kimmage will likely prove a very interesting companion on a cycling holiday.
The week-long trip takes place next April and is being organised by the Cycle Sierra Nevada tour company, which specialises in cycling holidays in the region.
The week Kimmage will lead will not be an intensive training camp.
Instead the cycling will take the shape of guided tours, which will be gentler than a training camp.
Underlining that point, the week is being dubbed "The Not So Rough Ride"; a reference to Kimmage's iconic book and the leisurely pace of the planned week away.
Kimmage is not a man usually associated with the meet and greet end of the cycling market.
But given his background as a former pro rider and champion amateur, and his compelling career as a journalist, this trip sounds like a really interesting proposition
