The National Championships course in Carlingford is lumpy, but with no big climbs. It should suit a rider like Sam Bennett (above) who's been installed by Paddy Power as joint favourite with Matt Brammeier to take the title.
We don't condone gambling but......
Here's the odds Paddy Power is offering on the Men's National Road Race Championships in Carlingford in Co Louth tomorrow, Sunday.
The reigning champion Matt Brammeier (Champion System) has be installed as joint favourite at 9/4 with Rás double stage winner Sam Bennett (An Post-Chainreaction).
Philip Deignan (Unitedhealthcare) is next at 6/1 while last year's U23 championship winner and elite race bronze medal winner Philip Lavery is fourth favourite at 7/1; with the latter well worth a punt.
