Paddy Power betting odds on Sam Bennett stage win at Giro

Sam Bennett is about to go to war in the Giro sprints. And Paddy Power betting has ranked his chances against the other fast men in the race; what do you think?

Paddy Power has installed Sam Bennett as second favourite to win tomorrow's stage 2 at the Giro d'Italia.

Saturday’s second stage takes the riders 167km from Haifa to Tel Aviv and looks set for a sprint finish.

Elia Viviani is installed as favourite to win in the predicted, though not certain, bunch sprint.

The QuickStep man is 8/11. Bennett, of Bora-hansgrohe, is 3/1. It's a price that may be worth a punt if you're into that sort of thing.

And then there's a big gap in the odds; Danny Van Poppel (LottoNL-Jumbo) is third favourite at 15/2. He is followed by Sacha Modolo (EF Education First-Drapac) at 9/1.

Nicolas Roche of BMC Racing is 275/1 on the sprint stage. And honorary Irishman Chris Juul Jensen, the Irish-born Dane riding for Mitchelton-Scott, is 100/1.

In the overall betting, last year's champion and the man who won today's TT Tom Dumoulin (Team Sunweb) is favourite. He is installed at 11/8.

Next is Chris Froome (Team Sky) at 2/1 then Miguel Angel Lopez Moreno (Astana) at 5/1. Thibaut Pinot (Groupama FDJ) is next at 13/2. He is followed by former race winner Fabio Aru (UAE Team Emirates) at 15/2.
