Over 80 stolen bikes, e-scooters found by Gardaí during searches in Dublin

Gardaí
are trying to reunite over 80 bikes and e-scooters that were found during
recent searches in Dublin. All of the scooters and bikes seized were stolen and
now gardai are sharing photos of them in an effort to return them to their
owners.

The bikes and scooters are being stored in Kevin St Garda Station in the south inner city and gardai said they had all been seized during recent search operations during one investigation.

“As part of an ongoing investigation, Gardaí conducted searches recently in the South Dublin area which resulted in the recovery of over 80 E-Scooters and bicycles believed to be stolen,” a statement to the media said.

Over 30 of these scooters and bikes have been identified and returned to their lawful owners,” it added, though the remaining bikes and scooters were still not reunited with their owners.

The Gardaí said their advice to members of the public was “to always take a photo of their e-scooters or bicycles upon purchase, and where possible, have their property marked to assist with identification should they be they be stolen”.

“If any member of the public believes they may be the lawful owner of any of these scooters or bicycles, please contact Kevin Street Garda station on 01 666 9400,” the Garda statement added.
