After a disappointing opening day for Team Ireland at the World Road Championships yesterday when our biggest medal hope Ryan Mullen fell short of his own high standards in the U23 time trial (TT), focus now turns to the junior men and elite women.
Getting underway at 2.30pm, the junior men's TT is over exactly the same course as the U23 men - two loops of a 15km circuit.
Ireland's representatives are Simon Tuomey and Michael O'Loughlin.
O'Loughlin, who rides for NRPT-Magnet.ie at home, will start his TT at 3.20pm while Cork Giant's Tuomey commences his effort at 5pm.
Siobhan Horgan, who is back in international bike riding action after a couple of seasons competing in duathlon, rides the elite women's TT this evening, Irish time.
The Team Aquablue woman, who gained selection for these Worlds after blitzing the field in the TT at the National Road Championships in June, is due to start her ride at 7.18pm.
In her last Worlds outing - in Valkenburg in 2012 - she was left bitterly disappointed when the group she was in was pulled out of the race going out onto the last lap.

Today's race gives Horgan an opportunity to put that right and any placing in the first half of the field would be a success for the 36-year-old national TT champion.
O'Loughlin's 8th place in the junior Worlds TT last year has obviously raised hopes that he can ride well today.
However, as with Ryan Mullen in the U23 TT yesterday some 12 months after taking silver in the same event; repeating a top rider on this stage one year after the other is easier said than done.
O'Loughlin placed 35th in the junior TT at the European Road Championships in Estonia in July; a result well below his capabilities.
On that occasion, he was also accompanied by Tuomey, who beat him on the day when he took 28th place.
A top 10 for O'Loughlin today would be another wonderful performance, even for a man who has already won a TT at Nations Cup level this year.
A medal would be a dream, but this category is packed with ability so everything would need to go very right on the day for any rider who will end up on the podium.
For Tuomey, a top 20 would represent major success. But anywhere in the top half of the field would be a very good ride at this level.
