Caoimhe O'Brien (Torelli-Assure-Cayman Islands-Scimitar) is top of the Cycling Ireland women's rankings after a successful start to the 2022 season. The Westmeath teenager is just ahead of her younger sister and team mate, Aoife. And just behind the O'Briens comes Erin Creighton (McConvey Cycles).
Both Aoife O'Brien and Creighton are juniors but have made their mark this year by winning elite races and making the podium numerous times.

Caoimhe O'Brien has to date claimed two rounds of the Cycling Ireland National Road Series; the Des Hanlon Memorial and the Darrach McCarthy Solicitors Knockaderry round last month.
Her younger sister and national junior road race champion, Aoife, claimed victory in the elite race at the Waller Cup in Bohermeen, Co Meath, last weekend while riding for the national junior team.
Creighton is another junior who has claimed elite victory this year; the McConvey Cycles rider winning the John Haldane Memorial in Newry in March.
