If you thought Forrest Gump crammed a lot into life, check out 5-year-old Ryan Kane cover the ground in Belfast as the best teams in the world began to arrive for the Giro.
The grandson of legendary Belfast cyclist Dave Kane and nephew of former internationals Debbie and Mark, young Ryan wasted no time in putting himself about the past couple of days.
From Newtownards, he’s already told teacher Mrs Weir in P1 at Londonderry Primary School that he’ll be a no show on Friday due to his commitments watching the Giro and networking at it.
He’s already been interviewed on BBC TV, given most of the big teams' mechanics the once over and introduced himself to some of the biggest names in the game, including our own Dan Martin.
And he’s got this pretty impressive set of photos to prove thanks to dad Paul.
We think you'll agree that though not a pedal has been turned in anger at Giro 2014, stickybottle has already unearthed the race's first star.

Just about to go live with BBC television outside grandfather and cycling legend Dave Kane's shop

We're on air, would you mind keeping the noise down a bit please?

Flying solo filing the audio report to the guys back in the studio.

In the back of the satellite van getting the TV package ready for the evening news; all in a day's work.

Moving in for the kill, bottom right....

Nice shot with Dan 'The Man' Martin

Even better...

There'll be no slacking from Dan Martin's Garmin-Sharp mechanics with our man on the job.

'Did yous ever race with my granda?' One of the big guns, Katusha's Rodriguez on the left. Stickybottle can confirm the Spaniard has been signed up as Fraser Duncan's lead out-man in Northern CC-Dave Kane for next year.

Stopping for a chat with former Tour France winner and the very much in-form Australian legend Cadel Evans

A quick spot check back with the Garmin-Sharp boys to check all is in order
