Eight awards are up for grabs on Saturday November 26th when the Cycling Ireland awards night takes place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin.
The paracycling gold medal-winning pair or Katie George Dunleavy and Eve McCrystal are among the favourites to take the domestic-based female rider award while Eoin Morton, Sean Lacey and BMX rider Aaron Edwards are among the nominees for the male equivalent.
In total, there are eight awards with the Bike Shop of the Year being a new addition to this year’s shortlist.
The awards are for; volunteer of the year, club of the year, best domestic male and female rider of the year, best club coach of the year, best bike shop, best leisure and competitive event.
As well as those various winners there will be a Hall of Fame award, an initiative started back in 2013.
On that first night 25 people were inducted to the Hall of Fame and it was decided that further additions will be inducted every three years.
This year, a committee was established to assess nominations from the Cycling Ireland members and to decide on this year’s inductee or inductees. The successful candidate or candidates will be honoured on the night.
Only members of Cycling Ireland can vote and those interested should do so here.
The closing date for the entry is Friday November 11th.
