Nicolas Roche has been busy keeping his social media followers update with his new life in retirement and his latest escapade has been a parachute jump in the skies of Dubai.
The former Irish international, who called time on his career at the National Road Championships in Co Wicklow last month, jumped out of a plane strapped to an instructor from Ski Dive Dubai.
He said in his latest post he'd never had the courage before now to "jump out of a plane" and he looked a little reluctant as he was about to launch out of the aircraft from 13,000ft.

"As you can see on the video I was absolutely petrified when the door opened... really enjoyed the experience," he said.
The 37-year-old Irishman soon warmed to the task after launch from the tiny aircraft. He managed to turn to the camera with a thumbs up and generally got some fantastic footage on his jump.
