The honeymoon is definitely over for Nicolas Roche, who was hospitalised and forced off his bike due to this spider bite in Australia.
Having celebrated his wedding just a few weeks ago and taken off to Australia to train and perhaps prolong his honeymoon, Nicolas Roche has endured more drama Down Under than he would have liked.
The Team Sky man and Irish international was bitten by a spider, which left some very nasty looking bruising and a bite mark on his arm, above.
Roche required hospital treatment for the bite, with some spiders in Australia capable of inflicting great damage. In some cases bites can prove fatal.
Roche Tweeted a photo of the bite on Twitter today, Tuesday, and also revealed he was back on the bike, which his team and Irish fans everywhere will be glad to hear.
Roche married Spanish partner Deborah Robles last month.
