Now is your chance to dine with Nicolas Roche, hear him speak on stage, chat to him in an informal setting or go for a group ride with him. He is set to appear at a number of events in Ireland very soon.
Nicolas Roche for Dunloy & Ballymore club events
Just about to finish a long season, Nicolas Roche will be back in Ireland soon. And now’s your chance to ride with him and even throw a few questions his way at both informal gatherings and an on-stage interview.
Roche will be the star turn on Saturday week, October 14th, at Dunloy CC’s Tour of the Legends Sportive.
There will be a mass 'ride out' from Dunloy Parish Centre at 9:30am. Riders will follow a fully marshalled 52 miles route through North Antrim.
The route will take the Causeway coast and back through the iconic Dark Hedges.
Dunloy CC plan to work the ride so everyone gets a chance to have a chat with Roche along the way.
Everyone will finish at Dunloy Parish Centre where there will be an informal questions and answers session with Roche.
Only 250 places are being made available on Entry Central at £20. All riders will receive a souvenir T-shirt.
Riders who are not Cycling Ireland members will be asked at sign on to purchase a £5 Cycling Ireland 'day licence'. That is intended to provide them with the necessary insurance cover.
And in the evening Roche will again be guest of honour at an event back at the same venue. A drinks reception will be followed by a sit-down meal and an on-stage interview.
The good people of Dunloy seem to have their heads firmly screwed on as they’re organised a superb raffle around The Tour of the Legends Cycle.
Tickets are £25 but it will be well worth it for those who win. The prizes include a BMC Team Machine SLR01 Disc Team DA Di2.
Velo Café Magasin have also donated a DTSwiss race wheelset as another prize.
And smaller prizes include a Nicolas Roche BMC signed jersey, Mavic cycling shoes and a Giro helmet.
The following day, Sunday, October 15th, Nicolas Roche is back in action. And this time it’s for Ballymore CC and in aid of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Roche will lead a leisure ride from the Radison Blu in Little Island, Co Cork.
Sign on for that event takes places from 8.30am. A kids ride, which is free of charge, gets underway at 9am.
And the 70km main event with Roche starts at 10am. There will be refreshments on the site afterwards with spot prizes.
