Nicolas Roche bitten by spider again; this wound looks horrible

This is the pretty gruesome sight of a second massive spider body on the body of Nicolas Roche after his first injury in November.

Having been forced off the bike during a train spell in Australia in November due to a spider bite, Nicolas Roche has incredibly suffered the same bad luck.

The Team Sky pro has shared this photo via his Twitter account revealing another nasty looking bite from another spider.

Roche has just been hospitalised and will spend the next three days undergoing treatment and observation for what can only be described as perhaps the most bizarre stroke of bad luck we can recall befall any rider during the off season.

Get well soon Nico!

Our story about November's spider bite in Australia

The honeymoon is definitely over for Nicolas Roche, who was hospitalised and forced off his bike due to this spider bite in Australia.   Having celebrated his wedding just a few weeks ago and taken off to Australia to train and perhaps prolong his honeymoon, Nicolas Roche has endured more drama Down Under than he would have liked. The Team Sky man and Irish international was bitten by a spider, which left some very nasty looking bruising and a bite mark on his arm, above. Roche required hospital treatment for the bite, with some spiders in Australia capable of inflicting great damage. In some cases bites can prove fatal. Roche Tweeted a photo of the bite on Twitter today, Tuesday, and also revealed he was back on the bike, which his team and Irish fans everywhere will be glad to hear. Roche married Spanish partner Deborah Robles last month.
