
The Jimmy Watson and Debbie Barclay memorial senior races - being run for the first time this year, by VC Glendale - are among the next batch of fixtures on the home scene this weekend.
While there were concerns the main event - for C1s - at the Carn Classic on Saturday may be cancelled, the promoting club has said the event will definitely be going ahead.
And it is the Carn Classic, promoted by Carn Wheelers, that will open the weekend of racing ahead. There are three races being promoted on the day, for C1s, C2s and C2, with prizes for the first five in each and also women's prizes.
Sign on is at Church Street, Maghera, Co Derry, with the first races to roll out from 9am at the national speed limit sign on the Carricknakielt Road in Maghera.

The second round of the Paracycling TT Revolution Cup also takes place on Saturday in Co Westmeath, hosted by Shannonside CC. The 16km TT is being run on a flat, out and back, route from Fardrum, outside Athlone, towards Moate on the R446.

On Sunday, VC Glendale promotes the Jimmy Watson and Debbie Barclay Memorials, which have been held at youth races but with senior races added this year for the first time.
The youth races start at 9.30am with events for U12s, U14s and U16s from 9.30am. The senior races get underway at 1pm, with separate events for C2 and C3 riders, of 84km and 60km respectively. The events are being held at the iconic Dundrod Circuit in the hills overlooking Belfast.

Also on Sunday, the Donal Crowley & Kay Stratton Memorial Road Race takes place in Co Cork, with events C1s, C2s and Cs-Women - 140km, 90km and 90km respectively.
Race headquarters is at Blarney GAA Complex, with sign-on opening at 10am and the races - promoted by Blarney CC - getting underway at 12 noon.
