The Irish track team get their European Championships campaign underway in Switzerland tomorrow, Wednesday, with a huge squad of 13 riders, some of whom are making their debut at this level of competition.
Seven women and six men complete the squad which will compete in the endurance and sprint events over the coming five days, concluding on Sunday.
First up tomorrow on the 250-metre track in Grenchen are the men’s and women’s team pursuit squads.

Four riders from Mark Downey, Felix English, Martyn Irvine, Marc Potts and Fintan Ryan will make the selection, with English and Potts the newcomers here.
Irvine will also go in the individual pursuit and the scratch race, events he took silver and gold at in the 2013 World Championships.
Aran Islander Eoin Mullen gets his bid for vital Olympic qualification points underway on Friday morning in the 200m time trial qualifying rounds of the men's sprint.
Mullen's busy week also includes participation in the keirin, another important Olympic event for him, and the kilometre time-trial.
