A new Irish gravel series is being launched - by a well known biking operator - with events in Co Wicklow and the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Laois-Offaly. A number of different event options - to suit riders all of levels of experience - will be run.

As well as a weekend of racing at each of the events, there will also be a BBQ and the ‘Big Bike Film Night’ on the Friday before weekend racing begins, as well as live music on the Saturday after the main event.

Initially there will be two events – GRS Wicklow and GRS Slieve Blooms – with dates to be confirmed by the end of August 2023. Each venue will host a shorter ‘GRS Tour’ and the full ‘GRS Classic’.
