Cycling Ireland has launched a new 'Bike Like Me' programme aimed at women and girls from the age of 12 years and older.
Following the successful launch of the virtual training
programme last year, which attracted more than 800 participants, a new
eight-week ‘Bike Like Me’ schedule has now been put in place for the period to
the end of March.
It’s free for Cycling Ireland members and anyone who is not already a member can pay a €10 fee or become a federation member by following this link.
There are a total of four programmes on offer – see full details below – catering for riders of different ages and varied levels of experience.
“The programmes have been designed by Cycling Ireland coach Jamie Blanchfield of Premier Endurance and will run for eight weeks,” Cycling Ireland said.
Each session will be conducted over Zoom and will be led by an experienced leader who will aim to keep all participants motivated and fully involved.
Riders will be able to ask questions over Zoom and the sessions will be recorded, meaning participants who are not available to ride at the time of the session can dip into it later and complete their work-out in their own time.
Riders will need rollers or a home trainer and a device they can access Zoom on. All riders will also need to register in advance, which you can do by following the links in the registration information Cycling Ireland has issued, and which we have included below.
If you have any questions in the meantime, you can contact the organisers via email on [email protected].
Good luck!
